This is my vision:
Freeing you from dumb sh** so that you can do bigger and better things.
Or the version that I use in polite company:
Facilitating creative evolution by liberating you from the mundane.
There’s no denying the benefit of innovation. The kind of tech that has come out in the last decade alone is enough to make your head spin. We’re doing things faster, better and (perhaps) cheaper than before.
We’re all familiar with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs(the expanded 8 stage one). Maslow suggested that we all have basic needs, and once certain needs are met, we strive for the next level of fulfillment until we reach transcendence.
In fact, it can be argued that technology has been pivotal in pulling humanity out from the sad pool of “deficiency needs” to growth and ultimately transcendence, where we help others self-actualize. How else do you explain social media?
But Is that the extent of our existence? Helping others self-actualize? Humanity has the potential to do so much more. To BE so much more. To ascend to a higher plane of being.
So what’s stopping us from getting to creative evolution?
Dumb sh**.
That’s right, the single biggest barrier to humanity’s ascension to the next stage of evolution is stupid little things that consumer our day. Things that are small and inconsequential by themselves, but in aggregate, suck your potential away.
In the morning when you wake up, your potential is at a peak. You’re ready to take on the world.
But wait, your phone crashed overnight and now you woke up an hour late. Enter the first dumb sh**.
You forgot to get groceries yesterday so no breakfast. You rush out the door and notice the near empty fuel tank. Hitting traffic barely 5 minutes out, you hope you don’t run out of gas. When did life become such a blooper reel?
Perhaps a little more organization may have helped with this “Level 1” Dumb Sh**. What about “Level 2” Sh**? Those emails you’ve to type, presentations that have to be prepared. Things that need to be done, but require very little skill. By the end, your potential is all but depleted.
What if your day could be free of all this dumb sh**? What is your LIFE could be free of all this dumb sh**?
Imagine a future where technology works. 100% of the time. Without fail and requiring none of your attention. Envision a time where your fridge knows when you’re going to run out of groceries and requests drone delivery to itself, a car which doesn’t need refueling and which drives itself. Some of this is happening already with IoT and autonomous cars.
But what about the next level of innovation? A highly intelligent AI based assistant which doesn’t just respond to “Find me the closest Mongolian BBQ”, but responds to “Get competitor data for the past 5 years and make a nice presentation on your inferences”.
Skepticism? Another dumb sh**! What would the reaction be of someone from even a few decades ago when viewing current tech?
This is the future that I envision. Eliminating all of those little things which occupy your time so that you can focus on creating the next big thing or solving the next big problem. So that you can focus on evolving.
